Project Engineer III – Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the lead engineer for assigned projects and delegate tasks to designers and drafters.
  • Mentor designers on design tasks and provide assistance to other engineers.
  • Coordinate project delivery with owners, architects, other consultants and disciplines.
  • Read/Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Prepare calculations to establish appropriate sizing for infrastructure, equipment, and distribution.
  • Research, verify, review and become familiar with, city, county, and national code requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings during all phases of project.
  • Review contractor submittals to determine conformance with contract documents.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria required on assigned projects.


Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Successful completion of the Ohio State Board FE examination
  • Current PE license for Ohio or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Education in electrical design, power systems highly desired
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office experience required
  • Revit experience highly desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Lead engineer experience on large (preferably healthcare) projects

Senior Technology Designer

Summary

Dynamix is seeking a hands-on, consultative Senior Technology Designer that shares our Core Values and is seeking an exciting and rewarding opportunity with a group of professionals who genuinely enjoy working as a team to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to develop new and existing client relationships and business while continually building and reinforcing the client’s perception of the company as a credible partner through active persuasion, thought leadership, hands-on technical project work, education and most importantly, honest, knowledgeable, regular and direct but humble communication. Responsibility includes management of the project portfolio, system integration, estimation and RFP submittals, internal communications and business analysis tasks such as facilitating requirements gathering, documenting the problem(s) to be solved, developing functional specifications and ensuring the solution(s) meet the client requirements. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in Cabling Infrastructure, Telephony, or audio visual systems or have a demonstrated successful track record in maintaining and expanding new client relationships and managing multiple high profile projects in a fast-paced environment.

Duties (This is a summary and not an all-inclusive list of duties.)

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships and communication with clients and provides primary technical assessments, analysis, documentation and recommendations related to educational and healthcare facilities, infrastructure and low voltage systems (Voice, Data, Video, AV, Wireless, Security, etc.)
  • Performs design and construction oversight, prepares construction cost estimates, develops and maintains project schedules and works closely with internal teams from initial design and pricing proposals through project completion; provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification, training or work experience required
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to translate technical terminology and concepts in terms that can be understood by a non-technical audience
  • MS Office software required / Revit experience desired
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and strict deadlines
  • Experience designing Voice, Data, Video, AV, Wireless, Security systems with some experience in Nurse Call and other clinical/specialty systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience within cabling infrastructure/telephony/audio visual industries/information and communication design with exposure to facility design
  • Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) / Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certifications desired

Occasional day travel required – Overnight travel is possible but rare

 


Entry Level Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the design of mechanical HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Assist in the preparation of designs in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Assist project team members with project deliverables.
  • Read/Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports
  • Prepare calculations to establish appropriate sizing for infrastructure, equipment, and distribution.
  • Research, verify, review and become familiar with local, state, and national code requirements
  • Participate in project meetings during all phases of project
  • Review contractor submittals to determine conformance with contract documents
  • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria required on assigned projects 

Requirements for Entry Level Project Engineer positions:

  • Successful completion of the Ohio State Board FE examination or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Successful completion of engineering internships with recommendation letters or other professional experience highly desired
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited school of engineering
  • Some background with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
  • Revit experience desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • High level of organization and attention to detail

Experience in healthcare, education and/or government projects highly desired

 


CAD/BIM Revit Drafter

In the CAD (BIM) / Revit Drafter role, you will work alongside project engineers to produce Revit models and finished construction drawings of buildings and related projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD software.
  • Experience with reading construction industry documents (floor plans, elevations, schematics etc.)
  • Understand CAD requirements needed for different clients and ensure drafting/CAD standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production
  • Ability to work well with others, multi-task, problem-solve.
  • Associates Degree in CAD Drafting, pursuing a Drafting/AutoCAD or Engineering Technical degree or previous coursework in the same.
